AMETEK MRO’s Muirhead Avionics Expands Capabilities to Include Datalink Decoding for HFR5 Honeywell CVRs

SOUTHALL, UK (Jan. 7, 2021) – Muirhead Avionics is pleased to announce that it has expanded its flight recorder capabilities with the addition of datalink decoding for HFR5 Honeywell CVRs. While datalink decoding is already performed on L3 recorders at the company’s Southall facility in the UK, the addition of Honeywell HF5 recorders allows Muirhead Avionics to extend its already extensive services.

Using the latest software from Honeywell and L3, Muirhead Avionics can not only perform and certify the CVR file’s current five-year requirement checks for active messaging and/or correlation, the company can also supply complete text logs of the datalink messaging itself. The coverage extends to all datalink aircraft including Bizjets, Boeing, Airbus, and ATR.
